This theatre is a small theatre of Shikiseating approximately It was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Shiki and to be a base of a movement, which is derived "traditional shingeki, " mainly straight plays are performed in the theatre. Today, as well as straight plays, the theatre stages a variety of shows, including musicals for a family. Large items, such as a suitcases and baby carriages, must be left in the cloakroom. Storing umbrellas in the cloakroom is not allowed and patrons must take them into the auditorium. Please allow extra time for storing your belongings before the show. Blankets are available for rental. If you wish to borrow a blanket, please ask at the Information desk.
Shun Tomii opened the Japanese restaurant in Tombland in and since then has gained a legion of fans for his authentic dishes and sushi, including famous food critic Jay Rayner. After the outbreak of coronavirus forced Mr Tomii to close the restaurant, he decided to launch a delivery service and contactless collection. To let customers know they are still open, he began posting daily videos of him dancing to 80s and 90s songs on his Twitter feed, such as Born Slippy, What a Feeling from Flashdance and The Terminator theme tune. He now has hundreds of views and comments from people thanking him for cheering them up and has also been taking requests from his followers. Mr Tomii is also offering 10pc discount for NHS staff and most of the normal restaurant menu is available, including donburi rice bowls, sushi and sashimi - you can see the menu at shikirestaurant. The story happens in a small isolated town in rural Japan named Sotoba , where a series of bizarre deaths occur, coinciding with the arrival of the Kirishiki family who has just moved into a castle built on the outskirts. Toshio Ozaki , dean of the only hospital in Sotoba, begins to investigate and discovers there are supernatural presences at work, namely vampires, who are called shiki , which translates to English as " corpse demon ". Funimation simulcast the series one hour after its initial broadcast in Japan, with English subtitles. Each episode title is a homophone pronunciation for the Japanese numerals using On'yomi, with each phrase mostly related to death or the corruption of the physical body, both common themes in the series.
