However, the bona fide mix of complex math rock and raw energetic punk, a combination almost impossible to synthesize in nature, appears to be in fine supply in these pressing times. The tumultuous LA two-piece Onces are ready to prove me wrong in their latest effort, Onces. Two-pieces, by their very nature, almost always end up sounding loud simply due to their having to compensate for the lack of a bassist Lightning Bolt , Pneu , Zeus! And for its two-man production, Onces is indeed an extremely loud record, serving up complex guitar hooks, humorous inter-song banter, and general cacophony. Combined, their sound is highly technical.

Review by progaeopteryx Prog Reviewer. I found this group's debut album a harsh-sounding affair, while their studio album was an impressive instrumental guitar rock album. This live offering falls in between both studio albums as a download on the band's Bandcamp page. Interesting enough, it features songs from both albums. The music is as energetic as the studio albums, but unfortunately suffers from a poor recording and what seems to be a crowd of a dozen people? Alas, experimental music suffers from this sort of thing. Anyway, this one is as harsh sounding as the group's debut which has a bit of a sloppy, demo feel to it. I would recommend starting with their album before downloading this. For fans only. The harshness of the previous album is missing almost entirely and is replaced with a complex heavy sound interspersed with calmer sections and rather intricate melodies and riffs.
Why do we not talk about Heavenly Mother. We'll discuss further after the holiday and see where we end up. After two years of being together with very few problems, it ended within 30 minutes of having "The Talk" about my future religiosity. The point is that there are way too many people talking in this thread as if they have some sort of psychic knowledge a stone in a hat, perhaps. If I were you, I would sever the relationship and find someone else.
